Barbara Marzean, CIC
Owner/Vice President
Barbara Marzean started her insurance career in 1974 with Consolidated Insurance Agency in Austin.  She joined Regnier & Associates in 1985 as a commercial account manager.  Today, she is responsible for the overall operations and management of the agency.  Barbara holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.  She is active in the State Firemen’s & Fire Marshals’ Association of Texas, currently serving as Co-Chairman of the Firefighter of the Year Committee and a member of the Golf Committee.

Evelyn Hickey, CPCU, CPA
Controller/HR Manager
Evelyn Hickey manages the Finance, Accounting and Human Resource operations of Regnier & Associates.  She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas in Austin.  Evelyn is a licensed CPA and holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.  She has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and was the Chief Financial Officer for a local Austin insurance agency/company before joining our agency.

Stephanie Dew, CIC, CPCU
Director of Marketing & Sales
Stephanie Dew is the Director of Marketing and Sales for Regnier & Associates.  She graduated from Brigham Young University and was a Public Entity Production Underwriter and Commercial Sales Executive in Arizona before moving to Austin in 2005.  Most recently, Stephanie was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Glatfelter Insurance Group, which is the parent company for VFIS.  She holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Danny Kerecman
Sales Manager
Danny Kerecman manages the Sales team for Regnier & Associates.  He graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California and worked for American Hardware Insurance Agency.  He relocated to Texas and joined the agency in 1994.  Danny has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and has worked with the VFIS program for more than 16 years.

Tom Van Wyngarden
Assistant Sales Manager
Tom Van Wyngarden joined the agency in 1999 after a successful career in sales.  He has more than16 years of experience working with public entities and emergency services.  In 2006, Tom was recognized and honored for achieving over $1,000,000 in VFIS sales.

Gerrie Smith
Sales Executive
Gerrie Smith is our Sales Executive for a large territory encompassing Austin, San Antonio and the Valley.  She joined our team in 2006 and has 40 years of insurance experience, including life and health insurance.  She also has 8 years experience with non-profit organizations and emergency services.  Gerrie is working on her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and is a licensed EMT.

Mike Barton
Sales Executive
Mike Barton joined the agency in 2002 and handles the North Texas area.  Mike is a Firefighter/Paramedic with almost 40 years of experience with emergency services.  He is a retired Firefighter from the City of Richland Hills Fire Department and is currently the Fire Chief for Eagle Mountain Fire/EMS in Tarrant County.

Marvin Vinson
Sales Executive
Marvin Vinson joined the agency in 2004 to handle the East Texas area.  Marvin is a Firefighter/ECA and has more 30 years experience with emergency services.  He is currently serving as Fire Chief for Crims Chapel Volunteer Fire Department in Rusk County.  Marvin also sells fire apparatus for Westex Custom Fire Apparatus and is Past President of the Rusk County Firefighters Association.

Glenn Hastings
Sales Executive
Glenn Hastings is an Independent Agent that has been involved in the VFIS program in the Houston area since 2001.  Glenn has 24 years of insurance experience and over 31 years experience with emergency services.  He was a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Houston Fire Department and is a life member of the Spring Volunteer Fire Association in Harris County, having also served as their Fire Chief.

Service Manager
Nancy Spear manages the Service team for Regnier & Associates.  She has been with the agency since 1989.  She is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and has over 38 years of insurance experience.  Her broad knowledge and experience bring the highest level of service to our VFIS clients.

Account Manager
Susan Heil is an account manager for Regnier & Associates.  She joined our agency in 2008 after moving from California to Austin.  Susan has more than 30 years of insurance experience and is working on her Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Deborah Bush, ACSR, CISR
Account Manager
Deborah Bush is an account manager for Regnier & Associates.  She has almost 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 18 years in commercial insurance.  Deborah is a native of Louisiana and attended Loyola University.  She is an Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and is currently working on her Certified Account Manager (CAM) designation.

Cheryl Cook
Account Manager/Claims Manager
Cheryl Cook has a dual role as an account manager and claims manager for Regnier & Associates.  Cheryl worked for a transportation company for 13 years as an insurance adjuster before joining Regnier & Associates in 2006.  Prior to that, she worked as an insurance adjuster for Trinity Universal Insurance Company and as an independent insurance adjuster.  Cheryl was named Adjuster of the Year in 1986 by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas.  She brings an extensive background in insurance customer service and claims handling.

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Peggy Tarvin joined our agency in 1987 and has celebrated more than 24 years with our agency.  Peggy is the first voice that anyone hears when calling our office.  She has more than 40 years of insurance experience, including 25 years as a Personal Lines customer service representative.

Carole Johnson is our VFIS Training Coordinator and Administrative Assistant.  Carole graduated from St. Petersburg College with a Bachelor of Applied Science and has 20 years of customer service and administrative experience.
