2) Education and Training – Every year nearly 100 deaths and 100,000 injuries happen to emergency service workers during training or on actual emergency calls. Our goal is to educate and train these personnel to better protect them and to reduce their risk of injury or death. We offer high quality training classes and educational materials in an effort to meet this goal. For more information, visit www.vfis.com/education_training.htm
VFIS is committed to reducing the number of deaths and injuries among emergency service organizations. Part of that commitment is promoting the safe operation of emergency vehicles. With this in mind, VFIS of Texas and TEEX have partnered to provide our nationally recognized Emergency Vehicle Driver Training program through the TEEX Emergency Services Training Institute (ESTI). ESTI is the NFA-recognized State Fire Training agency for the state of Texas. To request a course or to review the ESTI Extension course schedule, click here.
