2025 SFFMA Conference Recap
The 2025 SFFMA Annual Conference in Frisco, TX was one for the books—and VFIS of Texas was honored to be part of it all as this year’s Fire Brigade Sponsor.
Our team had a fantastic time connecting with attendees, hearing your stories, and sharing more about the insurance and risk management solutions designed specifically for Texas first responders. A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by our booth to play the coin toss game—and congrats to the lucky winners who took home $1,000 prizes, including one very excited young visitor!

One of the highlights of the week was presenting the 2025 Firefighter of the Year and EMS Responder of the Year awards. VFIS of Texas is proud to sponsor these annual awards to celebrate the dedication, bravery, and leadership of Texas first responders.
🏅 Firefighter of the Year: Captain Kelcey Trotty, Longview Fire Department
🏅 EMS Responder of the Year: FF/EMT Sarah Hininger, Hartley Fire/EMS
Each winner received $3,000 and a flag flown over the Texas Capitol in their honor.
We also recognize our exceptional runners-up:
